I was introduced to André Baard via one of Bunker Holdings most experienced managers. We met for the first time back in 2006 and after 15 minutes it was clear to me that he was the man for a new set up he wanted to open in South Africa.

André had all I was looking for; trustworthy, hard working, smart, fair and very innovative. The nice thing about André is that it is not just words, it is his DNA as a business man and a person.

He walks the talk and took us from nothing to a position of holding 60 % of the market in less than 3 years. He did it by having his own ideas, but also by being able to find the right people to work with him. He stands up for what he finds right and has the courage to say no if something seems to be not right to do.

Apart from being a forward thinking business man he is a great person who really cares about others and what is a sustainable development of the future.
